Who We Are: DVFF has a growing membership made of angling men, women, and families from all reaches of the Delaware Valley. The benefits of membership include: What We Are About: • Introduction to Fly Fishing at the Silver Lake Nature Center. This is our "home" event and is held, rain or shine, at the Silver Lake Nature Center in Bristol Township, Bucks County, PA. Proceeds for this event are forwarded to the Silver Lake Nature Center. Call now to enroll in our March 27, 2010 class - (215) 245-0677. • Introduction to Fly Fishing on the Little Lehigh Creek. In cooperation with the "Little Lehigh Fly Shop" DVFF offers a fair-weather, day-long session. Lunch is provided, as well as ample opportunities to fly fish the "catch and release fly-fishing only" waters adjacent to the shop. Proceeds for this event are used to fund ongoing DVFF activities and programs. Call now to enroll in our May 1, 2010 class (rain date May 2) - DVFF offers Fly Tying Classes typically scheduled between January and May. Our expert tiers offer tips and techniques for beginner and advanced tiers and share patterns proven to work on local waters. Proceeds from these classes are forwarded to the Silver Lake Nature Center. Where We Meet: For a map and directions to the Silver Lake Nature Center please follow this link. When We Meet: • Introduction to Fly Fishing day-long workshop at Silver Lake Nature Center ($25.00 donation): March 27, 2010, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, rain or shine. Pack a lunch, or join us at a nearby diner. • Introduction to Fly Fishing day-long workshop on the Little Lehigh River ($50.00 donation): May 1, 2010 (rain date May 2, 2010), from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A hearty hot lunch is provided stream side on the grounds of the Little Lehigh Fly Shop. Both the stream and the shop are stocked for all of your fly fishing needs. For a map and directions to the Little Lehigh Fly Shop please follow this link.• Fly Tying Classes at the Silver Lake Nature Center ($50.00 donation): Seven sessions will be held in 2009. Beginning January 14, then on the first and second Wednesday of each month from February through April, starting at 7:00 PM. The December holiday dinner is not included in the yearly dues. Annual club dues for 2008-2009 are $35.00, and first time members incur a $10.00 initiation fee.
